GYMNASTICS BACKGROUND: Internationally acclaimed Coach Yefim Furman has taken the prestigious position of Head Team Coach at the Los Angeles School of Gymnastics. Yefim is a gymnastics veteran known to many as the “God Father” in the sport. After leaving the UCLA gymnastics department over two years ago, he has found his new home at the L.A.S.G. instructing hundred's of aspiring athletes per week including the competitive team program that has blossomed since his arrival in late June, 2002.

Mr. Furman has placed gymnasts on the 1984 and 1992 Olympic games including Olympic Champion Tim Daggett, Chris Waller, Scott Reswick, Chaney Umphrey, and Steve McCain and many others! He is also responsible for consulting with thousands of gymnastics centers worldwide on proper training techniques and program management. Yefim is also a former Olympian who competed at the 1972 Olympic games in Munich claiming the Olympic Silver Medal. Yefim currently works directly with the Women’s and Men’s National Gymnastics Team by consulting and instructional seasonal guidance. Not to mention, he was the HEAD TEAM COACH OF THE WOMEN’S TOUR OF OLYMPIANS including former and current Olympians; Svetlana Boguinskaia, Tatiana Goutsu, Lilia Podkopayeva, Svetlana Khorkina, and Elena Produnova. We are sure that many of these grateful Olympians will be visitors at our amazing center.

Yefim has been very popular with both celebrity gymnasts and REAL CELEBRITIES including movie preparation for Jada Pinkett-Smith (Matrix Reloaded), Drew Barrymore (Charlie’s Angel’s part II), and Sela Ward (Sprint). He is one of the greatest personalities to ever exist in the sport of Gymnastics.
